Human Dynamics Coaching
Resistance & Engagement Specialist
I help professionals and small teams identify and resolve the resistances that limit engagement, clear positioning, and the capacity to move forward.
Resistance doesn’t always look like “conflict.” It often shows up as loss of voice, difficulty taking one’s place, unaddressed tension, avoidance, repeated misunderstandings, or a persistent feeling of not being recognized or not finding one’s place within a larger system.
My work is to make these dynamics explicit, understand what they protect, and transform them into renewed responsibility, collaboration, and concrete action.
Through our work together, I provide support in:
01/ Pinpointing where resistance is operating (individually and relationally)
02/ Clarifying what is at stake: what’s being avoided, protected or fought for
03/ Resolving blocks through precise dialogue, feedback, and practical experimentation
04/ Restoring engagement and movement with clear next steps grounded in real situations
This work is direct, supportive, and demanding. We don’t bypass resistance, we work with it. The goal is honest alignment: clearer communication, stronger ownership, and better collaboration.
Biography
I’m Mathilde Merlot. I work at the level of human dynamics: the unspoken tensions, legitimacy questions, and relational patterns that shape how people show up, collaborate, and take responsibility in professional environments.
My approach combines deep listening, precise feedback, and close attention to what is happening in the moment: what is said, what is not said, and what keeps repeating. I work with individuals and small teams through targeted interventions connected to real situations.
Alongside my coaching work, I’m also a writer and screenwriter. That background informs my practice: it helps me identify underlying patterns quickly and support people in finding language for what is actually happening and what needs to change.
Schedule a consultation call to discuss your situation and see if my approach is the right fit.
If you’re here for creative project support, I still offer a limited number of one-to-one creative collaborations. Please mention “creative” when you book.
Helping professionals and teams resolve resistance and restore engagement through clarity, responsibility, and effective collaboration.
"Discipline has always been a challenge. Time with Mathilde allowed me to see the hidden resistances I had. She gave me a structure with deadlines but no pressure, only accountability. She helped me create a rhythm, a sense of focus by holding a dedicated space for us to explore, push past my issues and commit to the work. Our sessions became an anchor in my week."

Testimonials
“From the beginning, Mathilde understood my patterns and pinpointed my blocks. We worked on changing my chaotic, unsustainable pace to a balanced writing routine, positioning myself, and allowing me to make real progress toward my goals. Mathilde’s insight, emotional intelligence, and intuitive approach helped me get past these blocks to become the writer I know I am.”
— Astrid Carlen-Helmer, screenwriter/ co-writer of Space Cadet
“What sets Mathilde apart is her capacity to work directly with resistance at an individual level. She doesn’t smooth things over or offer quick reassurance; she identifies the exact point of tension and works through it with rigor and respect. The professionals she supported showed measurable changes in how they positioned themselves, communicated and assumed responsibility.”
— Dr. Judith Chusid, Executive & Professional Coaching Practice, Success Is an Inside Job
“I had a strong vision for developing my relational mapping system but had trouble structuring my team while keeping the momentum and not burning out. Mathilde showed up as deeply intuitive partner in respecting my work while identifying where I was stuck. She didn’t try to squeeze me in a template. She meets you where you are, honors your objectives while making room for everyone to find their seat at the table.”
